Log InLexington Pediatric Practice Celebrates 35-Year Anniversary
Congratulations to Lexington Pediatric Practice on caring for children in the Midlands for 35 years. It was the first pediatric practice in the Town of Lexington when it opened its doors in 1987. And just like its patients and communities have grown, so has the practice.
After joining Lexington Medical Center’s network of care in 2008, Lexington Pediatric Practice moved into LMC Lexington and opened a second location on Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia in 2016. What started as one location with one physician has grown to two locations, seven board-certified physicians and two certified nurse practitioners: Lillie E. Bates, MD, FAAP; J. Brandon Emery, MD, FAAP; Lauren S. Matthews, MD, FAAP; Amanda R. Vartanian, MD, FAAP; Sara S. Wallace, MD, FAAP; Caroline B. Webber, MD, FAAP; Caleb E. Wheeler, MD, FAAP; Hamilton Hollis, APRN, CPNP-PC; and Stormy Walker, APRN, CPNP, CLC.
“Over the 23 years that I have been with Lexington Pediatric Practice, I am not only struck by how much we have grown with Lexington County, but by how much our culture has remained the same. Our unwavering commitment to providing age-appropriate preventive and sick care to children is why we now have taken care of families for two and even three generations,” said Dr. Bates. “We also know our dedicated staff would not be able to provide the care these families trust without the support of our own families and the Lexington and LMC communities.”
With decades of experience caring for children from birth through their teenage years, Lexington Pediatric Practice has built a reputation of providing compassionate, family-centered care. The providers and staff offer a variety of services including pediatric well and sick visits, labs, vaccines, full diagnostic services and minor procedures. They also offer lactation services with a certified counselor to support breastfeeding mothers.
“I'm so happy to be a part of Lexington Pediatric Practice’s 35th anniversary. The landscape of pediatric medicine has changed so much over the past 35 years, but our dedication to quality patient care is unwavering,” said Dr. Matthews. “I feel privileged to be a part of the Lexington Pediatric Practice legacy within our communities.”
